The system of local journalism is an essential pillar for the functioning of a vibrant democracy. The "Feldexperiment" project is dedicated to documenting local journalism in NRW. The focus is on visualising the actors, production sites and mechanisms that play a central role in local journalism. In addition to the traditional local newspaper, the project also looks at new forms of local journalism.
